Grammarist

A grammar-checking app built using React and the GrammarBot API. This was a bit of a pet project. It was inspired by my love of writing and my previous career as a journalist. A lot of error handling went into this project, including error messaging for character minimums and maximums, and for sentences without grammar mistakes.

Aller-gen

This recipe-generating app was built with jQuery using a REST API called theMealDB. It allows the user to search by ingredient and filter recipes out by selecting one of the 8 most common allergens. This was a paired programming project with Seth Poulin. I'm currently working on refactoring it using React.js.

Bitter Parent

I'm particularly proud of this app because it's the successful outcome of solid trust, communication, and empathy during mob programming with Mohamed Omar and Seb Freeman. This project was built using React and Firebase, and the styling was done in SASS. Functional components were used wherever possible, and this project also made use of prop drilling and event bubbling.
